World Mosquito Day August 20, 2020

Join us August 20, 2020 to observe World Mosquito Day by learning more about mosquitoes and mosquito-borne diseases!

World Mosquito Day originated in 1897 after Dr. Ronald Ross of the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine discovered the transmission of malaria by mosquitoes. Annually we observe World Mosquito Day to increase awareness of mosquito-borne illnesses and ways we can prevent them from occurring through control, outreach, and further research.
